Crop stress & drought foresight

See stress before it shows up in yield.

Crop stress rarely appears all at once. Subtle declines in vegetation vigor, shifts in soil moisture, and accumulating weather pressure build for weeks before they become visible losses. The challenge for large operators, cooperatives, and agribusiness lenders is seeing that trajectory early enough to act — across thousands of dispersed parcels.

SatelliteX runs a continuous monitoring mission over the region, fusing optical vegetation indices with soil-moisture signals and weather forecasts. The recursive agent network watches for divergence from each parcel’s own baseline, then projects how conditions are likely to evolve over the coming weeks.

The challenge

Monitor crop health and forecast drought impact across large, dispersed agricultural regions before yield is lost.

How the mission runs

The same core loop — observe, reason, predict, recommend — tuned to this problem.

01

Observe

Ingest recurring optical imagery, NDVI time series, soil-moisture estimates, and weather model output for every monitored parcel.

02

Reason

Compare each parcel against its own seasonal baseline and neighboring fields to separate real stress from noise and cloud artifacts.

03

Predict

Project drought and stress trajectories over a chosen horizon, with probabilities and confidence intervals.

04

Recommend

Surface prioritized at-risk fields with suggested intervention windows and a human-reviewed executive summary.
